Rotten Tomatoes: This site is unique in that it's review page is actually a compliation of clips from other reviewers, combined with a rating meter that sums up the results. It is well designed in that it provides all the features one wants on a movie review site: search, get showtimes, new/coming soon and many more features without being cluttered like so many sites. Whoever designed the site has managed to create a site that naturally draws your eye to the different parts of the site in an organized and informative fashion so that it is very easy to find the section you are looking for.
IGN FilmForce: A subsection of IGN Networks, a site dedicated to games, movies and music. IGN is a commercial site with the required ads but they manage to keep these to a non-irritating level and format. The layout is good and they offer decent informaton on movies.
MetroTimes - Cinema: Metro Times is a Detroit cultural paper. It lists local events, etc... The movie reviews here seem to be well thought out and I find the ones I've read are some of the better reviews I've come across.
MrCranky: Ok, the design of this site is bad in my opinion so I'm putting links to movies in theaters and rentals. I totally disagreed with the couple reviews I read but found them so humorous that I decided to link to it anyways.
Turner Classic Movies: This site isn't as well laid out as I'd like but it does have unique content. If you're into classics there's a lot this site has to offer.

These resources are here currently but may move to other pages at some point in the future as I reorganize. Other pages such as news/finance will have video resources and as video on the web is becoming more common, there might not be a direct link to the video portion since it is often a natural link off of a site's homepage (CNN/fn for example.) Also, web video pretty much requires a high speed connection to enjoy.
BlinX Video Search: Interesting concept and good way to find video clips on the net.

PocketMovies: dedicated to providing movies, animations and trailers for handheld devices.
Internet Archives - Moving Images : A subset of the Internet Archives, a project dedicated to documenting and preserving items on the internet. Some interesting material that cant be found anywhere else.
Netflix: an internet based rental system where you pay a monthly subscription and have DVD's mailed to you. First, let me say this is not an ad, but so far everyone I've known that has this service loves it. There's no late fees, you get a certain number of DVD's at a time depending on your subscription level, and when you've finished with the DVD you mail it back in a postage paid mailer. When Netflix gets the DVD back, they mail you the next DVD on your wishlist. What do people love about it? The convenience of looking for a DVD from home. The ability to have a list of movies one wants to see where the movies get sent to you automatically combined with the no rush to get it back means that they always have a movie available that they want to watch. The list of movies are much more extensive than through a typical 'brick & mortar' rental place and they are in an environment where previews and reviews are readily available. So why haven't I tried it out? I'm used to going to the video store. I'm guessing that when I do, like others I've known that have tried it out I won't go back.
dmoz - open directory project - movies : " The Open Directory Project is the largest, most comprehensive human-edited directory of the Web. It is constructed and maintained by a vast, global community of volunteer editors." (From their site.) This site has interesting links to a wide range of movie oriented web sites, such as: scripts, quotes, memorabilia, education and theory, etc..
